Alex Elvin grew up in Massachusetts and has lived all around New England. He paints mostly outdoors and from life, with a focus on everyday subjects. He is inspired by many artists from around the world, but especially the Impressionists. Alex studied figure painting and drawing at the Art Students League of New York in 2023 and 2025, and enjoys traveling around the region to paint. He currently lives on the island of Martha’s Vineyard.
